Dentures in Woodland Hills
Full, partial and implant-supported dentures, made to fit comfortably.

How dentures replace missing teeth
Dentures replace missing teeth with natural-looking teeth set in a gum-colored base. A full denture replaces all the teeth in the upper or lower jaw. A partial denture fills the gaps when some of your own teeth remain.
Well-fitted dentures make eating and speaking easier and support your cheeks and lips, so your face keeps its natural shape. For a firmer fit, dentures can also clip onto dental implants.
How dentures are made and fitted
- 1
Consultation and exam
We check your gums, jaw and any remaining teeth, and talk through full, partial and implant-supported options.
- 2
Impressions and measurements
Precise impressions and bite measurements make sure your dentures fit your mouth and line up naturally.
- 3
Try-in
You try a model of your new teeth so we can check the fit, look and bite before the final dentures are made.
- 4
Fitting day
We fit your finished dentures and adjust them until they feel comfortable.
- 5
Follow-up adjustments
A few sore spots are normal in the first weeks. We'll see you for adjustments until everything feels right.
Dentures that stay put
If a loose denture makes you nervous about eating or laughing, an implant-supported denture may help. A few dental implants placed in the jaw hold the denture firmly in place.
- No slipping when you eat or speak
- Little or no need for denture adhesive
- A stronger bite than a regular denture
- Helps preserve the jawbone where teeth are missing

Dentures usually last around five to ten years. Your gums and jaw slowly change shape, so dentures may need relining or replacing to keep fitting well. Regular checkups catch this early.
Most people get used to new dentures within a few weeks. Eating and speaking can feel strange at first; starting with soft foods and reading aloud helps.
You can eat most foods with dentures once you're used to them. Start with soft foods cut into small pieces, and take care with very hard or sticky foods. Implant-supported dentures give the strongest bite.
Full dentures replace all the teeth in the upper or lower jaw. Partial dentures replace some missing teeth and clip onto your remaining natural teeth.
Implant-supported dentures are more secure than regular dentures: they don't slip, you can bite with more force, and the implants help preserve the jawbone. They cost more and need minor surgery, so we'll talk through both.
Most dentists recommend taking dentures out at night to rest your gums, and keeping them in water or a denture-soaking solution so they don't dry out.
Often, yes. Immediate dentures are made ahead of time and placed the same day teeth are removed, so you're never without teeth. Your gums change shape as they heal, so immediate dentures need adjusting or relining in the months that follow, as the ADA explains.
The cost of dentures depends on whether you need a full, partial or implant-supported denture, and on the materials. Dental insurance often covers part of it. You'll get a clear price before you decide.
