Oral Conscious Sedation
Oral Sedation Dentistry protocols have been used safely for over 30 years with millions of dental procedures. Before starting any treatment, we review your medical history and explain how Oral Sedation Dentistry can work for you. We want you to feel good about going forward towards a healthy and new smile.
On the day of your appointment, you will take medication administered as a pill, before a companion brings you to the office. Our experienced clinical team will make certain that you are relaxed and completely comfortable. You will be monitored very closely while under sedation. Many of our patients feel NO discomfort whatsoever during and after treatment, and have little or no memory of the visit. There is no IV needle in the arm to sedate you. It is all done orally.
With Sedation Dentistry, we can complete most of your dental care in as little as one appointment. Including but not limited to:
Implants (to replace missing teeth or dentures or to secure dentures)
Replacing old unsightly decayed restorations (with new tooth colored options)
Restoring sore & infected gums to health
Whitening yellow or stained teeth
Cosmetic veneers to permanently fix chipped, damaged, or discolored teeth
Q: Will I really be totally relaxed?
A: You will receive just enough sedation so that you will be completely unaware of the treatment, as if you were asleep, but you will be in control the entire time while under sedation.
Q: Will I remember anything?
A: At the end of the treatment you will have little or no memory of your visit to the office.
Q: Will I feel pain?
A: Most patients feel no discomfort whatsoever during their treatment and feel surprisingly good afterwards.
Q: Will I feel groggy after my treatment?
A: You will feel just fine. For your safety, we do require that you have a family member or friend to drive you to and from your appointment.
Q: Will my insurance cover treatment?
A: We will review your insurance coverage and, if necessary, make financial arrangements to insure you get the dental care you need and deserve.
Along with his dedicated team, Dr. Ahdout will help you get the dental care you desire and deserve.
